Public Works to conduct street sweeping

sewer debris 240.jpg

Due to warmer than normal temperatures and forecasted rain, Public Works will be conducting street sweepings to help clear debris from Village streets.

The cleaning will include 2 street sweepers that will be making their way through Village streets over the next 2 weeks, in efforts to prevent standing water caused by blocked sewers. The sweeping will begin on the north side of town and move south.

While the Village is actively working to prevent blocked sewers, residents are reminded that cleaning debris from street sewer grates near their home or on their property will help promote drainage and could prevent flooding situations. Please call Public Works at (630)620-5740 with any questions.
