Illinois Department of Transportation Begins Highland Ave. Resurfacing and Asphalt Project

The Illinois Department of Transportation has begun grinding work on Highland Ave., from 13th Street (near Roosevelt Rd.) to 20th Street.

The construction will include surface grinding and asphalt overlay on Highland Ave. IDOT plans to work on one lane at a time and to direct traffic throughout construction as needed. IDOT expects the work to take approximately 1 week, but anticipates it taking longer if impacted by inclement weather. IDOT anticipates daily work hours from 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Drivers in the area can expect delays and should seek alternate routes. For more information please IDOT at 847-705-4000.
