The Village of Lombard’s 2015 Concrete Rehabilitation Program project start date has been moved up and will begin ahead of schedule.
The intersection of East Taylor and LaLonde will close Wednesday, April 29 and is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday morning, May 5. Upon the reopening of East Taylor and LaLonde, the intersection of Harrison and LaLonde is scheduled to close Tuesday, May 5, and reopen Monday, May 11. At the same time, the southbound lane of Grace Street between Madison and Harding will be closed May 4 – May 11.
Intersections will be completely closed to all traffic for approximately one week while concrete cures. The work will consist of replacing the majority of the concrete panels in the intersection as well as upgrading the sidewalk crosswalks to make them ADA compliant.
The construction project was originally scheduled to begin Monday, May 4, and was expedited as a result of a change in the local weather forecast that brought about favorable weather conditions.
If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Mr. Ray Hoving, Civil Engineering Technician at the Village of Lombard, Department of Public Works at (630) 620-5740 or visit www.VillageofLombard.org/construction.
